![]() Do the files it doesn't recognize have anything in common vs the ones it does recognize having anything in common as well? Have you tried creating a movie folder on another hard drive and testing one of the movies it doesn't recognize that way. I am just grasping at anything and everything. I know Plex has no issues with MKV files and I have several myself, but maybe you could try adding different copies of the same movie to the folder. I would definitely try removing the folder from your Plex library, refreshing to make all of the movies under that folder disappear and then adding the folder pathway back and scanning again. I guess you could still go under the folder settings and just enable every type of sharing or security option there is? IDK. In all likelyhood, plex wont be able to list your files because the mode 777 is required to list files in a directory even if the files themselves are set more. Seems like if some work then the permissions should be fine. Seems strange to find only some of the files and not others if the process can see it. I can remove all of the other information and see if that helps. What if you try typing in the IP address and port manually into your web browser without clicking the manage button If possible, copy+paste the settings or screenshots of the issue, and perhaps also the permissions. Each movie has its own folder in the 'movies' folder. From the Plex plugin I select or click: Manage, then it opens a Plex GUI and from there I see that there are no library files. Here is an example of how my files are currently named. To answer your question, you are correct - the movies don't show up in Plex at all. I will also rename simply as you have done. I'm sure there is the possibility of still having associated data in there which could still give me trouble, so I will try it again using your suggestion. Mine is set to update when there are changes to the folder, so I assumed that was happening. When I rebuilt the library I removed the files to a different location and noticed in Plex that all of movies were removed from the library. I thought I'd post here because I know there are many users and not sure they'd welcome another post on an issue that has multiple posts. I never bothered putting the IMDB numbers in my titles either until recently and it seemed to identify movies better so I thought this was a plus. ![]()
